The election of so many Community-backed Independents to the House of Representatives in May 2022 marked a significant change in the nation’s political landscape.

But the Senate's above the line rules remain a major hurdle for any Independent seeking election to the Senate -where they can enforce transparency, accountability and check the excesses of the party holding government.

Voices for the Senate exists solely to remove that hurdle by enabling Community-endorsed Independent candidates in all Australian Senate electorates to be placed above the line without having to join or form a political party.
